Transfer Stations, Open Top Bins, and Permitted Landfills are located at or near various Navajo Chapter governments throughout the Navajo Nation.
It is unlawful for any person to dispose of any solid waste in a manner that will harm the environment, endanger the public health, safety and welfare or create a public nuisance.
It is important to immediately report all large dead animals or dead birds to your local grazing official and applicable Navajo Nation Agency. Responsible livestock and animal owners will use the permitted landfills on the list below for disposal of carcasses.
